Brett Thomas - General Manager
Brett Thomas has recently accepted the role of General Manager. Brett will be responsible for driving QML Services to the next level, building on the solid foundation and momentum achieved by the team to date.
Brett has been employed by QMASTOR Limited since 2003 and has previously held Surveying Business Manager, Senior Consulting and Project Management roles and has worked on many projects for a number of customers including; BHP Billiton, Anglo Coal, Walter Energy and Solid Energy. In addition, Brett has recently worked on a number of projects involving QML Services and is familiar with the business, and several existing customers.
Brett brings a great mix of leadership, inspiration, operational experience, technical breadth, and passion for customer care to QML Services.
He will be responsible for working with the team to deliver on the strategic plan for the company – to establish QML Services as the premier logistics management service provider to the bulk commodity industry.
Denise Hinds – Logistics Manager
Denise has worked in the coal industry for 23 years, 20 of those years in coal logistics both at mine site and corporate offices with; Coal Operations, BHP Billiton, Coal Link and Peabody Energy.
Denise is responsible for managing the QML Services logistics team and all the associated logistics functions provided to our clients by the logistics coordinators. Highly skilled, enthusiastic and vastly experienced, Denise’s appointment adds further value for our clients.
Sabina Pichler - Logistics Coordinator
Sabina joined QMASTOR Limited in 2006 working as Office Administrator. After the purchase of QML Services, she transferred to the company in the role of Logistics Coordinator in July 2009.
Prior to this, Sabina had worked for ten years at superintending company, CCI Australia.
Brianna Auston - Logistics Coordinator
Brianna joined QML Services in October 2009 as an Administration Officer and in early 2010 advanced into the area of Logistics where she currently holds the position of Logistics Coordinator.
Prior to joining the company Brianna had been exposed to working in the Coal Industry by working part time in the office of her parents underground mining equipment services business.
John Hughes – Manager Business Development
John has over 35 years experience in industries related to the movement of bulk commodities such as oil, wheat, iron ore and coal. In the early part of his career John was engaged in the Merchant Navy both on the Australian Coast and later overseas where he gained knowledge of the world’s oil trades. Subsequent to this, eleven years of experience in logistics at Gray and Timmins Pty Ltd led John to form his own logistics company, Coal Link Australia Limited.
Prior to John establishing Coal Link Australia in 2000, he also held the position of General Manager, Newcastle Coal Services. John is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport-Australia.
